The BiRotor
meter is a positive displacement volume flowmeter, which uses two
finely balanced contra-rotating rotors driven by the liquid flow,
sweeping a defined volume of fluid with each rotation. BiRotor
meters are used in the most demanding applications in the
petroleum industry, where ruggedness, accuracy and long life are
important.
Mechanical meters use a gear train, located outside the measuring
unit chamber, to totalise the liquid throughput on a mechanical
or electronic totaliser. The meters cover size ranges from 1.5”
to 16” lines.
Long life is assured because the meter does not contain any
oscillating, reciprocating or sliding parts or cranks to wear or
disturb the balance. |
